National Federation of Music Clubs
The National Federation of Music Clubs holds local annual Music Festivals and Scholarship Competitions for performing students of all levels. Composition Competitions begin on the State level, then progress to Regional and National levels.
North Carolina Music Teachers Association
The North Carolina Music Teachers Association (affiliated with MTNA) promotes advancement of music teaching through conferences, workshops, programs, piano competitions, and newsletters.

Music Teachers National Association offers competitions, programs, workshops, projects, rescources, services, AMT (national magazine articles), and national conferences for music teachers.
Charlotte Music Teachers Association
The Charlotte Music Teachers Association holds several annual evens: Beethoven Composition Event/Recital, Charlotte Civic Orchestra/CMTA Concerto Competition, and Student Certification.
Charlotte Piano Teachers Forum
The Charlotte Piano Teachers Forum holds monthly piano teacher meetings featuring guest speakers and recitalists. Student Auditions are held annually for solo and concerto competitions.
